NetSecL forum on a new server :)

Hello there,

Today (21st August 2009) we moved the forum - this will prevent further intervations from spammers and other computer criminals. We also made a discussion that in a way we should provide a server version of NetSecL - Milen will do the testing on servers in a real enviornment and me - Yuriy well I'll develop it :). I think that this will be made as an option in the install - this is the way we see it and the way it's done in other distors. Also we think that providing stability is crucial part of the development process and in future we will make some packages availible for beta testing.

NetSecL site forum problem:

Hello there,

We had some slight problems with the server that hosts our forum and site (and many other sites as well) seems some bad people wanted to put their links. We reacted as soon as possible and site was unbanned from google imediatly, but checking the statistic on the sites tells us there were some windows hosts on 19/20th of August 2009. Since we take security seriously, please just in case run a full scan with your current AV or use this link: F-Secure Online Scanner  and you will be scanned online. We'll be moving the forum to a more secure place soon.

Some Fixes for NetSecL 2.2

After some tests we found that Klamav was not working fine this is solved in the new version of the package. Also we noticed that GIMP had some problems with plugins. plugpax is the fix for GIMP plugins and you'll have to make it executable and run it after downloading. The old klamav should be uninstalled and then the new installed. If you have any questions or suggestions visit the forum. For the fixes go here.

Site Fixed

It seems that we made some mistakes while coding the site so the Download and Project area were no viewable from this page. We noticed this and fixed it.
